University degrees: Courses
Course length: 2 years
Course city: Rome
The department that was formed in the two-year period deals with set organization, production management, set edition, research and management of funds. Great attention is paid to the role of assistant director in the American sense, as a line producer who follows multiple aspects from pre-production to set, artistic and not only technical. From the classroom we move on to the practice on the didactic sets: stripping the script, managing needs, organizing the team and searching for locations. The two-year period also includes training aimed at the financial management of a project through calls for tenders, public and private fund raising, marketing and distribution for national and international co-productions. The practice on teaching sets makes our graduates highly qualified and halves the apprenticeship time normally expected after graduation.
