Writing has thousands of years of life, but in cinema it has reached one of its most complete forms by finding a new, deep narrative density.
All aspects of cinematographic writing are addressed during the three-year period through a series of teachings, specific exercises and workshops that provide students with the tools of the script and stimulate their attitudes, skills and creativity.
The various writing methods are studied: those that have their roots in the great tradition of Italian cinema and the more recent ones. But above all, people are driven to find their own original way of narrating.
To this is added the study of other forms of writing, in particular of the television serial.
During the first year, each student collaborates in the creation of a documentary and a short film, develops two original feature-length subjects, studies the various theories of film narration, takes possession of the tools of storytelling. The students then collectively make a film adaptation, and follow a theoretical course on television serial which leads to the writing of an episode of a series.
In the second year each student writes the treatment and the script of one of his feature films starting from one of his original subjects, signs one or two short films that are shot in collaboration with the other courses, participates in the creation of an original concept for a series television, comes into contact with the specific forms of writing of various other means of expression, including graphic novels and video games.
During the third year, each student dedicates himself / herself to the writing of the diploma short film, to the elaboration of a further cinematographic subject that is developed to become a screenplay, with particular attention to its feasibility, writes the subject for a low budget film, participates in a laboratory dedicated to transmedia, can attend internships.
