University degrees: Courses
Course length: 2 years
Course city: Rome
The curriculum of the Scenography Course has the primary objective of training young talents in the specific areas of scenography design and realization in the cinematographic field
The training course is aimed at providing future scenographers with all the theoretical, technical and application skills capable of promoting the development of their imagination and creativity. The three-year course has an eminently laboratory character and provides for constant interaction with the other teaching areas of the School. In the tutorials and in the realization of the short films – which will take place throughout the three-year period – the scenographer students will be called to interpret the narrative needs that will emerge from the scripts and to give “shape” to the creative instances of the director students, creating the scenic space and the setting in which the film story will take place.
In addition to the traditional didactic modules, a series of seminars specific to StoryBoard, Visual Effects and Television scenography will form an integral part of the training.
During the third year, internships are also planned for film sets in production in Italy. The knowledge acquired in the three-year period will allow graduates to operate in terms of excellence – as well as in the field of cinema, in the various areas of Interior Design, video-photographic sets, the preparation of exhibitions, events, concerts, contemporary art installations and of all those creative contexts in which the “emotional space” is called to perform an expressive and communicative function.
Among the teachers of the last five years Stefano Paltrinieri, Tommaso Strinati, Susanna Giovannini, Claudio Esposito, Luigi Marchione, Daniela Pareschi, Riccardo Bocchini.
