Modern forms of film production can only be achieved in collaboration between creative authors, directors and producers. The creative talents of production initiate new projects, lead and coordinate the development of materials and accompany each phase of production in a creatively constructive manner. To do this, however, the craft of the pure manufacture must also be learned. (Danny Krausz)
The central topic in the master’s program is the imparting of the main administrative and economic responsibility for production, and the growing co-responsibility in terms of content must be internalized and reflected upon. The international orientation of all forms of cooperation and the skills required for this are worked out and worked on using practical examples and current tasks, while the Master’s course focuses on feature films and TV projects. It is important to network the students primarily with the Austrian film landscape and subsequently also internationally, to organize their own events and to appear externally. In this way, the course retains practical, up-to-date features in every phase, which requires challenging vigilance in such a rapidly changing industry cluster between the art and creative industries. Understanding qualitative diversity and designing it responsibly are key goals here.
The training goal in the master’s program includes the job descriptions of production manager, post-production coordinator, film manager, production manager and producer.
