The basic requirement is to master the photographic craft precisely, because only then can you “paint” with camera and light, the design of which is so apt that it becomes part of the story. The students are taught the technical and artistic basics, they are supported and supported in their development, while they learn to design visually and narratively and, together with the director, embark on a search for emotional and substantive authenticity. (Thomas Benesch)
The aim of the master’s degree in Image Technique and Camera is to deepen “storytelling” with images and to bring emotion and authenticity to your own film. Technical and artistic skills are brought together and recording challenges are practiced until there are no more manual obstacles to the visual language. Above all, great attention is paid to designing with light in the master’s program.
The training profile in the master’s program includes the expansion and deepening of the artistic and manual skills acquired in the bachelor’s degree, which are defined in the job of cameraman / camera woman in the sense of artistic image design in close cooperation with the director.
