You learn to write above all by writing. In our lectures, the discussions of the internships and in group work we try to support, to inspire, to convey the manual skills. But the most important thing is and remains writing itself. (Götz Spielmann)
The goals of the master’s program in book and dramaturgy are the development of personal artistic expression, the development and deepening of practical skills, the solid handling of dramaturgical design. Another goal is to acquire well-founded theoretical knowledge on all aspects of script writing: dramatic and epic theories on dramaturgy, character drawing, setting up scenes, dialogue design, tools for creativity, genres etc.
In the course of a variety of electives from all areas of film, knowledge about the process of filmmaking can be individually expanded.
