Combining the latest digital techniques with traditional filmmaking skills, our 1-year non-accredited diploma explores a variety of aspects of storytelling for the screen with flexible teaching hours to allow students to combine their studies with employment.
This course is fundamentally aimed at those who do not wish to pursue our 2-year Digital Film Production degree. However, there may be the possibility of completing a bridging module to assess your eligibility onto Year 2 of the degree programme through the process of accreditation of experiential learning (APEL).
This course is aimed at people who have some experience in filmmaking and are looking to upskill through project-based learning. It is highly recommended for students who want to apply for further study in filmmaking.
Covering ideas generation, pre-production, shooting and post-production this course is designed for students looking to advance their filmmaking skills. Using our industry-standard equipment, you will write, direct and edit a film. You’ll learn the technical, creative and business knowledge of filmmaking as you explore various production roles including, screenwriter, director, camera operator, sound recorder, producer and editor.
You should bring a notebook, pen and sketchbook to classes. You may also want to bring with you a camera and laptop or tablet, however these are not essential.
