The whole sense of a scene changes according to the montage and the sounds we hear. The communicative power of a film editor is a great artistic as well as technical responsibility. In RFA we do not only teach the techniques and the use of the main audio and video post-production software but above all the cinematographic and narrative language to get to convey the script’s message. Our students learn to manage the direct on-set with boom, radio and professional recorders and the post-production processing of audio and video files through Final Cut, Premiere, Avid and Pro Tools. During the two-year period, artistic techniques are studied to approach the assembly and packaging of shorts, trailers, teasers and showreels, also working in professional studio mixing sessions. The practice on the sets and the study of post-production make our graduates complete professionals who can enter the world of work in the two different areas of expertise.
