“Scenography in the World” is an independent summer course in June 2019 in conjunction with the World Exhibition in Prague – Prague Quadrennial 2019. The course gives the student the opportunity to see and reflect on the different expressions of the stage space from an international perspective.
The course “Scenography in the World” 4.5 credits is full-time for three weeks, June 10-28, 2019. The course includes 4-6 days of studies published in Prague in connection with the world exhibition PQ-19.
The purpose is to broaden the student’s knowledge of the importance of the stage room in relation to contemporary performing arts. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to take part in a number of artistic positions and streams in the form of a large international representation in exhibitions, workshops, seminars, lectures and performances. PQ is the largest international event focusing on scenography, costume design, stage technology, lighting and sound design. During the days in Prague, the student group makes a number of joint study visits and has the opportunity for individually arranged meetings to exchange experiences with active stage artists from different parts of the world.
The course requires a certain amount of self-financing by paying the student his / her trip to and from Prague, which is planned and organized individually. The school pays the costs of cohabiting in Prague and prevents this. The residence time is 4-6 days and is placed on week 24, exact dates are determined in connection with the student group being admitted to the course. In addition, the school pays the required exhibition passes and admission tickets.
